When setup properly your website should serve as a 24/7 salesperson for your business. If you are not promoting your website properly, though, it is not going to contribute to your success. How Well Does My Content Address the Problems of the Searcher?

Have you ever clicked the top several results after doing a search only to find that the answers before you are outdated, incomplete, or just plain wrong? If not, consider yourself lucky. If you have found yourself in that boat, the content you are reading probably ranks highly because of a strong link building campaign. As we touched on above, inferior content can often claim the top several search results on Google. Again, this has to do with link building and/or the authority of the site hosting the content. Since you are going to take the extra time to make sure your content genuinely solves problems, getting some inbound links can be accomplished with outreach link building. In addition to link building you should also seek to promote your content socially. This will result in referral traffic from social sites and can lead to some naturally generated links to your site as well.
